JURY STATEMENT

“Empty Skies” manages to tell the story of a great human catastrophe out of a child’s perspective in a gentle, poetic and charming way. It is a visually engaging metaphor for the way political dogmas can jeopardize the existence of species and the ecological balance – with grim repercussions on humanity itself.
