The lynx: extinct in Western Europe in the 19th century, it was deliberately reintroduced as a predator fifty years ago. The forest is its realm, which is where Laurent Geslin filmed him. More than an animal documentary, it is a wonderful ode to nature. Wildlife photographer Geslin, illustrates the beauty and sensitivity of this elusive cat and the everyday life of a lynx family in the wild: “Over the seasons, I’ve learned to recognise each animal by its tracks, voice, spots and character.” Voices from the audience and the press praise the work with superlatives such as “breathtaking” and “extraordinary”. In Namur, Belgium, LYNX won the Grand Prix.
