Two wild gibbons have a professor and a pop star to act as high-tech matchmakers! A spectacular story from the animal kingdom and dramatic as any opera. The young would-be lovers are Skywalker hoolock gibbons, a species only discovered in 2017. There are only a handful left, scattered in the Gaoligong Mountains on the China-Myanmar border. Like all gibbons, they find their mates by singing to one another. But the Skywalker hoolock gibbons live so far apart that their songs are lost to the forests and valleys of their remote home, never reaching their potential partners. This is the extraordinary story of rock star Xingyu Li and scientist Dr Fei who set out to save a disparate group of gibbons through love, imagination and song.
