Festival Time In Innsbruck

The 19th INNSBRUCK NATURE FILM FESTIVAL will be inaugurated at the Metropol Kino at 7.30 pm with the opening film ON THIN ICE directed by Henry M. Mix and Boas Schwarz. The environmental documentary, which brings us to the Arctic, is highly topical, alarming and provides gripping imagery from a little known and rarely seen frontline of climate change. The glaciologist and one of the world’s most influential climatologists, Prof. Dr. Georg Kaser from the University Innsbruck, will deliver a kick-off speech.

With over 50 films from all over the world, the 19th INFF invites all those interested to take virtual journeys to other continents, distant cultures, extraordinary locations and even to your own doorstep. The programme is wide-ranging, with something for children as well as for young people and adults. Cinema tickets are available for € 4 (online) and € 10 (day-pass) at the Metropol Kino Innsbruck at the box office.
