INFF 2022: € 18,000 in rewards for ten prizes!

Four categories are to set the scene. These are Nature Film, Environmental Documentary, Short Film and Animated Short Film.

Works selected by the jury from these four categories shall take part in the international film competition in October and will have the honour of being shown on the big screen to the public audience at the Metropol Kino Innsbruck.

In addition to the category prizes, there is also the opportunity of winning six Special Awards. In 2022 these are as follows: the renowned prize for the best film on the subject of Soil Award, followed by the Camera Award – personally determined by the Oscar-nominated Austrian filmmaker Christian Berger. Hot on its heels comes the Young Talent Award for gifted youth up to the age of 26. Then there is the Wild Women Award, which celebrates female directors and cinematographers in the environmental and nature sector, and the Respect Our Planet Award for the film that uses ideas to encourage respectful treatment of the planet Earth. New this year – and on the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of the Tyrolean Gene Database – is the best film on the topic of Biodiversity in Agriculture Award.

It is exactly these special prizes that show the diversity that cinematic works on nature, the environment and sustainability bring.
