Since his childhood, writer Adam Nicholson has known the remote islands in Scotland. He tells us of how fascinating he found it, even then, to watch the seabird colonies. How every summer they returned to the islands in flocks. The documentary accompanies him to the same places he once visited and shows us what they look like today.

Jury statement
The film follows a well-crafted storyline, brilliantly told by a perfect narrator and brought to life by strong cinematography and powerful music. Conor depicts the seabirds in a very romantic, passionate way alongside scientific facts. A twinge of positivity towards the end and solutions are presented, making this an effectively pressing but thought provoking film.
