WILLI SCHMID – MASTER OF CHEESE
The film tells the story of holistic cheesemaker Willi Schmid. In his business, everything revolves around the animal: “They have to be happy, otherwise you get stressed cow milk.” And who wants that!? Schmid’s talent and work ethic enable him to produce excellent, sustainable cheese that is in demand worldwide.
The portrait is aptly and inspiringly staged by Swiss directing duo Myriam Zumbühl – best known at home as a cookbook author and journalist – and Bernese-born Simon Steuri, an advertising and feature film director located in Los Angeles.
