WAS FISCHE WOLLEN (WHAT FISH WANT)

The River Inn, the largest river in the Alps and the river that gives its name to the Inntal and the city of Innsbruck, is undergoing drastic changes; river engineering, dams and climate change are contributing to this. 95% of the floodplains of the Tyrolean Inn have already disappeared and twenty-eight of the thirty-one native fish species are either threatened or are now already extinct.

“WAS FISCHE WOLLEN” provides an insight into the fast-diminishing lives of the Inn’s inhabitants and explains the contexts and backgrounds of their dreadful disappearance.
